Fishing Report for July 15, 2009
This has been a very different summer so far. It is late July and we are still wearing sweatshirts. I can’t remember a summer quite this cool and windy. Sure makes it tough to believe in the global warming theory. Other than the odd temperatures the fishing has been great. We are catching lots of bass, pike and sunfish. I know it may sound like a broken record but weedlines are holding lots of fish right now and you can use many different things to catch them. I recommend spinnerbaits, plastic worms, or Rapala lures. For live bait sucker minnows or redtail chubs are working well. The sunfish are going on any type of worms or leeches.
